Fredonia will join a national movement to end sexual assault by providing an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to take the “It’s On Us” pledge, showing their support to end sexual violence, on Thursday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the McEwen Hall lobby.
An Escalation Workshop, a film-based discussion that calls attention to the warning signs of unhealthy relationships and assists those who are struggling with abusive and toxic relationships, will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 7:30 p.m., in McEwen Hall Room 209.
When students get back to campus this upcoming fall semester and work up an appetite after setting up their dorms and apartments, they’ll likely flock to the Williams Center for a bite. What they’ll find at the food court, though, will be a brand new, sleek and modernized dining facility.

Shaunna Rospierski, a senior Public Relations major from Alden, has been chosen as the November 2018 Student of the Month by the Office of Residence Life. The nomination was made by Dr. Angela McGowan, an assistant professor in the Department of Communication.
“Let’s Talk,” an outreach service at Fredonia designed to reach students who may not seek mental health services, has received an Outstanding Student Affairs Program award from SUNY’s Council of Chief Student Affairs Officers and Office of University Life.
A wide range of activities have been organized to help students find ways to reduce stress in healthy, productive ways, as the number of days in the fall semester dwindles. De-stress for Success provides a two-week window, starting on Sunday, Dec. 9, to help students achieve the focus they need to succeed.
The student food pantry is opening the door wider for the next three weeks. A second pantry in the LoGrasso Hall vestibule will operate Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Williams Center food pantry remains open seven days a week, from 5 to 11 p.m., and on Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to noon.
