Enter a freshman, leave a professional!

With Fredonia's multi-award programs, you can earn your bachelor's and master's degree in five years, which saves you time and money. After graduating from Fredonia, you'll enter the workforce or advanced programs both prepared and confident.

Multi-award programs

  • Biology
This program is intended for students with specific career goals that require advanced degrees. It is also designed for those who haven’t chosen a profession and want to do advanced research or perform an additional internship before applying to graduate or medical school or other health professions program. Reducing the number of years to earn both degrees is a clear economic advantage. Students pay the less expensive undergraduate tuition rate for graduate-level courses. Like the existing M.S. program, the B.S./M.S. program provides two academic tracks: thesis and comprehensive exam.

  • Childhood Inclusive Education & Literacy (B-12)
You'll have a B.S.Ed. and M.S.Ed., and receive your initial New York certification in four areas: Childhood Education (1-6), Students with Disabilities (1-6), Literacy (birth-grade 6), and Literacy (grades 5-12).

  • English Adolescence Education
This five-year multi-award program leads to initial 7-12 certification and makes you eligible for professional certification.

  • Music Education
Fredonia is the only university with a NYS-registered multi-award MUSB/MM degree program in Music Education. Music Education majors receive a 1-hour private studio lesson in their primary performance medium for 6 or 7 semesters, plus weekly master classes with the other members of their studio.
