Shaunna Rospierski, a senior Public Relations major from Alden, has been chosen as the November 2018 Student of the Month by the Office of Residence Life. The nomination was made by Dr. Angela McGowan, an assistant professor in the Department of Communication.

Ms. Rospierski is involved in numerous groups on campus and holds leadership positions that include president of the Applied Communication Association and secretary of the Women’s Club Volleyball team. Rospierski is also a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, WNYF-TV, Golden Key International Honour Society and Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s honor society.

“Fredonia has given me many opportunities to further my experience in my major through clubs, networking opportunities and internship opportunities. I love the connections I have made with the people in my major, clubs and professors,” Rospierski said.

After graduation, Rospierski wants to work in public relations in the non-profit world as an events coordinator, social media specialist or other related position. Fredonia is fortunate to have Rospierski as a student, Dr. McGowan commented, “and I'm confident she'll be an excellent representation of the Fredonia student body when she enters the workforce.”
