Faculty member receives sub-grant for student leadership program in addiction services

The Chautauqua Addiction Services Leadership Development Program will recruit three cohorts of highly qualified SUNY Fredonia Social Work and Jamestown Community College Human Services and Addiction Counseling students to foster their interest and commitment to serving in the addiction services workforce in Chautauqua County.

Department of Sociocultural and Justice Sciences Assistant Professor Jessica Finkeldey and two fellow researchers generated valuable insight into the association between problem gambling and criminal behavior that undermines a commonly held assumption – that gambling disorders can lead to criminal outcomes.

Criminal Justice Assistant Professor Jessica Finkeldey wrote the article "Identifying as a Troublemaker/Partier: The Influence of Parental Incarceration and Emotional Independence" published in the Journal of Child and Family Studies (Volume 29, Issue 3, March 2020).

Rosen named SUNYAC Goaltender of the Week

State University of New York Athletic Conference

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selected Anton Rosen (Orsa, Sweden), Joe McGrath (East Aurora) and Tyson Empey (Swift Current, Sask. Canada) as this week's Men's Ice Hockey Goaltender, Rookie and Player of the Week respectively. Fredonia's Rosen made the Castleton Invitational all-tournament team after stopping 54 of 59 shots in two games.
