Historians typically spend their time in the classroom teaching and in the archives researching and writing, but Department of History Professor David Kinkela joined 14 other SUNY scholars in the Adirondacks as part of a federally funded effort to reimagine the U.S. history curriculum at Fredonia and across the SUNY system.
Associate Professor Mike Igoe, who teaches in the Journalism area in the Department of Communication, has been appointed to a three-year term as a U.S. Fulbright Specialist.
Department of English Professor Birger Vanwesenbeeck spent part of the summer at Indiana University’s Lilly Library to research the Sylvia Plath papers. While there, he discovered a unique connection to SUNY Fredonia.
