Women's swim team earns academic honor

The Fredonia State women's swim team is proving they are not just athletes, but also pretty smart. The women's team earned the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honors for the fall semester. The team achieved an overall GPA of 3.28.

The CSCAA selected 803 teams from 479 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2022 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their Fall 2022 team grade point averages and represent 19,426 student-athletes..

The 4 x 100 relay team of Cameron Sample, Jordan Lockett, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz set a new Fredonia State outdoor record, finishing the race in 42.19 seconds. It was a regional-qualifying time, and .17 seconds behind the first-place Cortland team.
