The Fredonia State women's basketball team has been recognized for its success in the classroom by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The squad made the Special Mention list this past year after posting a 3.30 team GPA. The Devils were one of three SUNYAC Teams to be recognized, with Geneseo and New Paltz also joining the Special Mention list for having a GPA better than 3.0.

Three players earned over a 3.90: Renee Park (3.94), Alena Wright (3.93), and Caitlin Snyder (3.91).

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2022-23 season is the 28th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
