Smiley first guest on debut of the Blue Devil Banter Podcast

The Blue Devil Banter Podcast has been created to connect the Fredonia community with Blue Devil Athletics.

In the first episode of 2020, co-hosts Josh Schmit and Sports Information Director Jerry Reilly interview Men's Basketball Coach Sean Smiley about being hired virtually, meeting his players via Zoom, and his philosophy on team building and coaching. The podcast can be accessed online. 

Schmit, a senior Communication major with a minor in Sport Management, is from North Collins. The podcast is part of an internship under Mr. Reilly’s supervision. Schmit is also the Sports Director for Fredonia Radio Systems.

Riding the steady right arm of senior Emily Chelius, the Fredonia State softball team claimed a 6-2 win in Game 1 of its doubleheader at Buffalo State and qualified for the SUNYAC Tournament.
