Fredonia State hockey alumni held a successful golf tournament to benefit the Tanner Kahlau Memorial Fund, established through the Fredonia College Foundation, in honor of former Blue Devil hockey player Tanner Kahlau, who passed away in January 2021 while he was a member of the Fredonia State hockey team.

Over 30 hockey alumni were among 36 foursomes participating in the tournament that raised $11,1990 for the fund. The tournament was held July 8 at the Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club in Mountain Top, Pa., Mr. Kahlau's hometown. All proceeds will go to the fund to benefit the Blue Devil hockey program.

Tyler Riter and Max Blitz – teammates of Kahlau – played a key role in putting together the fundraiser that will become an annual event.

Members of the tournament’s winning team were Tyler Papura, Pat Brennan, Michael Pinto and Jimmy Martino Additional donations to the fund can be made here: Type in Tanner Kahlau Memorial Fund in the box asking where the donation should be placed.
