The Fredonia State women's track and field team saw four athletes turn in personal bests at St. John Fisher on Saturday. 

"The team is in a great place, healthy and full of momentum" noted Head Coach Tom Wilson 

Arden Brown had a solid performance in the 1500m dash with a personal best time of 5:29.95. Holly Rohrbach would also compete in the 1500m and finish with a new personal best time of 5:40.42. 

Kira Davidson had personal best in the triple jump with a mark of 10.30m with Hayley Mercer finishing the 200m with a solid time 31.13 earning her a new personal best as well.

Relay sets school mark

The 4 x 100 relay team of Cameron Sample, Jordan Lockett, Jacob Winn, and Nick Marsowicz set a new Fredonia State outdoor record, finishing the race in 42.19 seconds. It was a regional-qualifying time, and .17 seconds behind the first-place Cortland team.

Pellechia earns fourth SUNYAC title

For the fourth time in four tries, pole vaulter Cara Pellechia can call herself a SUNYAC Champion. Pellechia cleared 3.50m to take the outdoor title at the SUNYAC Meet on Friday.

Riding the steady right arm of senior Emily Chelius, the Fredonia State softball team claimed a 6-2 win in Game 1 of its doubleheader at Buffalo State and qualified for the SUNYAC Tournament.
