Zhao Ma awarded $80K grant for Chinese history project

Zhao Ma (history), as principle organizer and coordinator of a 20-scholar group in the US, Taiwan, and China, has secured a grant of $80,000 from the Chinese National Committee of the Qing History Project, to translate, edit, and publish a 12-volume series of studies in English about the history of late imperial China. Dr. Ma, assistant professor, teaches courses on Chinese and East Asian History, including the history of Late Imperial China, 20th Century China and East Asian history. He is teaching a study abroad course this summer in China, entitled, "China: Along the Silk Road."
