Student trombonists to perform with Buffalo Philharmonic group in Rosch

Members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Trombone Choir will present a joint concert with the SUNY Fredonia Trombone Choir on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 8 p.m. at Rosch Recital Hall. The recital, hosted by the School of Music, is free and open to the public.

The trio of by Jonathan Lombardo, Timothy Smith and Jeffrey Dee, with accompaniment by members of the choir, will perform “Cogent Caprice,” by Tommy Pederson, “Fantasia,” by Fritz Velke, and “Serenade for Bass Trombone,” by Nick Woud.

The ensemble will also perform works by Nicola Ferro, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Edvard Grieg, Maurice Ravel and John Williams. The SUNY Fredonia Trombone Choir is directed by Carl Mazzio.
