State legislators to discuss SUNY’s prospects at Fredonia

Fresh from their successful reelection campaigns, New York State Senator Catharine Young (R,C,I-Olean) and Assemblymen Joseph Giglio (R,C,I-Gowanda), Andrew Goodell (R,C,I-Chautauqua), and Sean Ryan (D-Buffalo, Lackawanna, Hamburg) will  join the Fredonia campus on Friday, Dec. 5 to participate in a panel discussion.

Fredonia community members, students, faculty, professionals, administrators and staff are invited to McEwen Hall Room 209 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to hear the panelists’ views on SUNY’s prospects during the 2015 New York State budget process. They will address such questions as:

  • What do you expect out of the New York State budget process in 2015?

  • How is SUNY viewed by your colleagues?

  • What are the prospects for Fredonia’s budget for the next academic year?

  • Does the New York State Legislature have a long-term plan for SUNY?

  • What can students expect regarding financial aid and rational tuition?

  • What can students, families, faculty, staff and administrators do to improve state support for SUNY and Fredonia?
