Sarah Gerkensmeyer travels to promote new book

Sarah Gerkensmeyer posterVisiting Assistant Professor Sarah Gerkensmeyer of the Department of English spent much of the summer promoting her new book, "What You Are Now Enjoying," winner of the 2012 Autumn House Press Fiction Prize and published in February.

She also designed a writing workshop, "Writing the Unknown," which she taught at the Indiana Writers Center and at 826michigan, a nonprofit organization in Ann Arbor, Mich., that benefits young writers.

Also, she gave combined readings and talks on this topic at various bookstores, including Talking Leaves Books in Buffalo, N.Y,.; Literati Bookstore in Ann Arbor and Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Cincinnati, Ohio.
