McGraw, McVicker, Turner honored April 15

President Dennis L. Hefner announced that three employees will be honored Tuesday, April 15, at the ninth annual President’s Awards for Excellence and Service Recognition Luncheon in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room, beginning at noon (program at 12:30 p.m.). The three outstanding members of the campus community who will be honored are Timothy J. McGraw, general mechanic (Facilities Management); Jeanette McVicker, professor (English); and Sally J. Turner, director (Counseling Center).

The program includes a musical performance by the SUNY Fredonia Women’s Choir and presentation of a service certificate and pin to SUNY Fredonia employees with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 years of service.  

The cost of the buffet lunch is $5 per person. Beginning this year, registration will be available online.

Strauss to conduct area concerts

Dr. Robert Strauss will conduct the Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus in “ WALK TOGETHER,” a concert to be performed at three sites in May and featuring “Tyler’s Suite,” a nine-song cycle about the life and death of Tyler Clementi, as well as songs from, or about, Buffalo, NY.
