Illinois State honors graduate Kim Tillery

Illinois State University presented Dr. Kim Tillery (speech pathology and audiology) with the 2008 Distinguished Alumnus Award from its Department of Communication Science and Disorders in October. Dr. Tillery is chairperson of the department of speech pathology and audiology at SUNY Fredonia.

Earlier this semester, Dr. Tillery delivered two six-hour workshops for the New York State Speech-Language Hearing Association (NYSSLHA)  entitled, “Auditory Processing and Related Disorders: Best Practices in Diagnosis and Evidence-based Treatment options for children and adults." She presented the workshops at Manhasset, N.Y. and Nazareth College with SUNY at Buffalo's speech language clinic coordinator, Terri Cinotti.

Strauss to conduct area concerts

Dr. Robert Strauss will conduct the Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus in “ WALK TOGETHER,” a concert to be performed at three sites in May and featuring “Tyler’s Suite,” a nine-song cycle about the life and death of Tyler Clementi, as well as songs from, or about, Buffalo, NY.
