Fredonia faculty to give piano/cello recital at New York City church

Drs. Natasha Farny and Eliran Avni of the School of Music

Drs. Natasha Farny and Eliran Avni of the School of Music will perform a recital of Romantic music for cello and piano in New York City at the Good Shepherd-Faith Presbyterian Church on Sunday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m.

The recital, a celebration of spring, includes: “Fantasy Piece,” No. 2, by Paul Hindemith; four songs from “Frauen-Liebe und Leben,” by Robert Schumann; Sonata in E minor, Op. 38, by Johannes Brahms; and “Polonaise Brilliant,” Op. 3, by Frédéric Chopin.

The church is located at 152 W. 66th St., between Amsterdam and Broadway, in the heart of the Lincoln Center area. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $10 for students and seniors.

Kessler receives AIA Moynihan Award
