Concert Band will perform classical and contemporary works Thursday

The SUNY Fredonia Concert Band will give its final concert of the semester Thursday, November 18, at 8 p.m. in King Concert Hall  under the direction of Erin Otto Meissner. The program, entitled “Classics and Contemporaries,” includes "classics" by Shostakovich, Bach, and Offenbach, and concludes with a set of tangos for wind band by "contemporary" American composers Michael Gandolfi and John Mackey. It is free and open to the public. 

The Concert Band also welcomes to the podium SUNY Fredonia Graduate Assistant, Carrie Pawelski, for a performance of Husa's engaging programmatic piece, Cheetah
