Coach Deshaya Williams inducted into Saratoga H.S. Hall of Fame

Deshaya WilliamsFredonia State track and field assistant coach Deshaya Williams (at right in blue jacket) has been selected for induction into the Saratoga High School Hall of Fame.

Williams, who joined the Blue Devils' coaching staff this summer, was a high school indoor and outdoor track and field standout, and a three-time All-American and 2003 NCAA women's discus champion while attending Penn State.

The induction ceremony of Williams and 10 others, including former women's professional golfer and current TV commentator Dottie Pepper, is scheduled for Oct. 1.
