Each year, Fredonia students hoping to enter the medical field spend thousands of dollars to take preparatory courses for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and to apply to medical schools. It is why local Fredonia potter and biology professor Dr. Ted Lee started the Health Professional School Preparation Scholarship Fund. Paul, '69, and Barbara Fein donated to the SUNY Fredonia Geosciences Department a mineral collection that Murray Fein, Paul’s father, had gathered over many years. The collection is exhibited in a display cabinet that was purchased through the Fahnestock Memorial Fund, which honors the late Dr. Ken Fahnestock of the geology faculty.
