Angelo Walker, a sophomore from Hamburg, NY, majoring in Criminal Justice, was named Student of the Month for November 2023 by the Office of Residence Life.

Mr. Walker is a Work Study student at Nixon Hall and participates in the intramural basketball program.

When asked what he likes most about Fredonia, Walker replied, “Everyone here is humble and there is no drama. The athletic facilities are nice, Cranston Marché is very good, and the professors care about seeing us succeed.”

What are his future plans? “As of right now my goal is to just learn more. I plan on being a police officer after college so I want to take part in classes and internships that will help me excel in that field. I just want to better myself and become the best version of myself.”

Walker was nominated for the award by Nixon Hall Residence Director Heather Williams.

The Student of the Month program was implemented in 2003 to recognize students who are well-rounded, excel in their academics and contribute positively to the campus and community. To nominate a student, go online to the Fredonia Student of the Month Program form.
