The Fredonia State swimming and diving teams recently returned from their annual spring training trip over the winter break.

The team fundraised for the trip that allowed them to train in world-class facilities outdoors, as well as enjoy the sunny weather in Coral Springs, Fla. The training over the break helped prepare the teams for meets prior to the SUNYAC Championships.

"We trained for eight days at the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex," said Head Coach Bill Bradley. "In the mornings we practiced in the long course pool (a 50-meter pool) and in the afternoons would swim in the short course pool. We also used their fitness center to continue our strength training."

There was also a diving well with multiple boards and platforms, plus lots of nearby dryland equipment to be utilized in diving practices. Some swimmers were even brave enough to go off the 10-meter platform.

In between practices on the days of doubles, the team liked to relax poolside at the hotel. On other days they took the afternoon off and drove to nearby Lauderdale-by-the-Sea for a beach day.
