Study Abroad trip to Iceland planned for Summer 2024; information session on April 18

Drs. Tom Hegna of the Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences and Ici Vanwesenbeeck of the Department of English are organizing an information session for INED 399 Magical Iceland, a Summer 2024 interdisciplinary study abroad course that will focus on the geology, sustainability policies, history, and literary culture of Iceland.

Participants will explore the cultural life of the capital city of Reykjavik, a thriving center of art, music and more, as well as study the natural beauty of this unique island.

An information session will be held on Tuesday, April 18, in Science Center Room 110 from noon until 2 p.m.

The Study Abroad opportunity is open to students as well as members of the campus and local community.

Yan Jiang named recipient of SUNY’s McConney award

Yan Jiang, a SUNY Fredonia sophomore double major in Public Accountancy and Business Administration-Finance, was one of 52 students from throughout the State University of New York selected to receive the Norman R. McConney Jr. Award for Student Excellence.
