Students to share insight into health professions school journey
Seniors who will attend medical or other professional schools this fall will share insight into the application process with fellow students at the Accepted Student Panel, an annual event hosted by the Health Professions Advising Committee, on Wednesday, May 8, at 7 p.m. at Science Center Room 122.
The students will discuss what they did to prepare to attend a health professional school and their application experiences, said Department of Biology Professor Ted Lee, who chairs the Health Professions Advising Committee.
Students who will participate in the panel include: Kate Dotterweich, a Biology major, who will attend The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry; Morgan Steele, Molecular Genetics, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine; Erin Lemmey, Molecular Genetics and Psychology, D’Youville College School of Pharmacy; and Lily Dixon, Molecular Genetics and Psychology, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo.
“It is a nice opportunity to celebrate their successes and let underclassmen get more information on preparing for health professional schools,” Dr. Lee added.
Refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
