Psychologist who will join Honduras medical mission to speak on campus

Dr. Nichol Eaton-Wolkiewicz

Dr. Nichol Eaton-Wolkiewicz, a licensed psychologist who will accompany Fredonia students on the study abroad medical mission to Honduras in January, will present a talk on Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Science Center Center’s Kelly Family Auditorium.

In her presentation, Dr. Eaton-Wolkiewicz will discuss her training, employment history, current business practices and non-profit involvement. In Honduras, Dr. Eaton-Wolkiewicz will provide support to children and families as needed.

Dr. Eaton-Wolkiewicz is a certified school psychologist who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and families and also conducts psychological, educational and personality assessments. She co-founded FMS Behavioral Health – Adult, Child & Family Evaluation and Treatment Center in Orchard Park, and is an adjunct instructor and clinical supervisor at Medaille College.

Department of Biology Professor Ted Lee and students enrolled in INED 313 Honduras Health Care will serve on medical mission brigades that provide primary care to underserved populations during the J-Term.

The talk at 5:30 p.m. is free and open to the public.
