Master’s student Nellett presents at ECMEA conference

Amber Nellett, a candidate for a Master of Music degree in Music Education from Ypsilanti, Mich., presented at the Western New York Conference Day for Music Educators, sponsored by the Erie County Music Educators Association (ECMEA), at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on Jan. 25. 

Ms. Nellett's presentation, “Practical Applications for Social-Emotional Learning in the General Music Classroom,” focused on the practical applications of social emotional learning (SEL) in the music classroom. Her session was informed by her teaching experiences and current research she is conducting for her degree.

ECMEA is a non-profit organization whose goal is to advance and strengthen the cause of music education in Erie County.
