Department of Visual Arts and New Media Professor Liz Lee's image, "Buddhism," from the “Cosmological Processes” series, and a project from ARTS 156 featuring a Fredonia student's work, was published in “Light and Lens: Thinking about Photography in the Digital Age,” 4th edition.

More information on the publication can be viewed online.

The "Cosmological Processes" series was produced by Ms. Lee as part of the inaugural 2014 Marion Fellowship for the Visual and Performing Arts for the 2013-2014 year.

The fellowship was established by SUNY Fredonia alumna Cathy, '79, and Jesse Marion through the Fredonia College Foundation to bring together the arts from both public and private sectors and facilitate community outreach. The fellowship supported Ms. Lee in the creation of the photographic series designed to inspire a new and closer relationship with the universe during a period of growing environmental and social crisis.

The ARTS 156 class project was featured in a chapter of the publication, “Imagemaker on Assignment.” The student example featured was by Adanna Akamnonu, Class of 2019, from a 2017 Image and Text assignment given by Professor Lee.
