A “Grab ‘n Go” format will be in place to promote physical distancing at the Global Banquet that the Office of International Student Services and the International Club will host on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 6:30 p.m., in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.

There will be two new features at this year’s banquet: a bento style (Japanese lunchbox) meal pickup and an opportunity for guests, while picking up their meals, to view a photo contest display from Fredonia’s international students and vote for their favorite photo.

The take-out bento box will feature the following menu items representative of some international students' countries: entrée - fried chicken katsu (Japan) or vegetable korma (India); sides - kimchi fried rice (Korea) and vegetable pot-stickers (China); and dessert - tiramisu (Italy) and baklava (Greece). A choice of an imported beverage from a variety of countries will also be offered.

Banquet tickets are $5 for students, $15 for non-students and will be sold by the Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center. Those interested should contact the ticket office at 716-673-3501. A pick-up time and entrée choice should be specified when purchasing tickets. A limited number of tickets are available.

All proceeds from this annual event will benefit international student scholarships at Fredonia.
