Hegna co-edits special issue of Zoological Studies journal

Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences Assistant Professor Thomas Hegna organized and co-edited, with D. Christopher Rogers of the University of Kansas, a special issue of the journal Zoological Studies devoted to fossil and modern clam shrimp, a group of small, freshwater crustaceans.

The special issue stems from a symposium co-organized at the May 2019 meeting of The Crustacean Society. It contains 15 articles, of which Dr. Hegna was a co-author of three. The special issue was published on Aug. 5 and is available for free online.

Hegna, whose Ph.D. dissertation was “Fossils and Phylogeny: The Evolution of Branchiopod Crustaceans,” is a member of the Paleontological Society, the Palaeontological Association, The Geological Society of America and The Crustacean Society.

Department of Business Administration Professor Mojtaba Seyedian is a co-author of a book chapter, “Consumption Preferences and Utilities,” in the book “Systemic Principles of Applied Economic Philosophies: Producers, Consumers, and the Firm."
