Global Banquet to showcase international flavor of campus
A variety of cultures from around the globe that are part of the Fredonia campus will be in the spotlight at the fourth annual Global Banquet, hosted by International Student Services, the EC English program and International Club, on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m., in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.
The program will feature musical selections and dances performed by international students enrolled in arts programs and food, representing cuisine from various countries, prepared by Faculty Student Association staff.
Individual performers are to include: Konatsu Matsuoka, Wing Hin Lai, Sammi (Chung-En Chueh), Mista Ohashi and Yuka Minamitsubo, dancers; Zhuoxuan Li, piano, performing “Pi Huang;” Dong Wang, piano, Chinese folk song “Colorful Cloud Chasing the Moon;” and Yujin Lee and Minjoo Kim, piano and clarinet, Sonata No. 2, second movement, for clarinet and piano.
A theme basket raffle will also be conducted.
Proceeds will benefit international student scholarships.
Tickets, at $1 for Fredonia students and $20 for community members, can be purchased at the Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center.
