Fan to launch new book at King's College London event

Department of History Associate Professor Xin Fan will give a presentation on his new book, “World History and National Identity in China,” at a virtual book launch party to be hosted by King's College London on Friday, April 23.

King’s College London Professor Kerry Brown, who is director of the university’s Lau China Institute, will conduct the event and be in conversation with Dr. Fan on the importance of nationalism in China today and what it means for modern China. The session will include audience Q&A with the author.

Strauss to conduct area concerts

Dr. Robert Strauss will conduct the Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus in “ WALK TOGETHER,” a concert to be performed at three sites in May and featuring “Tyler’s Suite,” a nine-song cycle about the life and death of Tyler Clementi, as well as songs from, or about, Buffalo, NY.
