Department of Communication announces induction of new Lambda Pi Eta members
Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society is the National Communication Association’s official honor society. As an accredited member of the Association of College Honor Societies, Lambda Pi Eta has active chapters at four-year colleges and universities nationwide.
To be eligible, students must be a major in any of the Department of Communication’s five majors, complete 60 credit hours, and earn an overall GPA of 3.0 and a GPA of 3.25 for all communication courses.
Fifteen students will be inducted into the society at the Department of Communication’s annual awards banquet on Saturday, April 20, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Williams Center’s Horizon Room.
The goals of Lambda Pi Eta are: (1) to recognize, foster, and reward outstanding scholastic achievement in communication studies; (2) stimulate interest in the field of communication; (3) promote and encourage professional development among communication majors: (4) provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas in the field of communication; (5) establish and maintain closer relationships between faculty and students; and, (6) explore options for graduate education in communication studies.
New members of Fredonia's Lambda Pi Eta (Alpha Beta Epsilon chapter) will also be inducted at the ceremony by the Chapter President Chloe Kowalyk, Vice President Jordan Budd, and faculty advisor Dr. Angela McGowan-Kirsch. New inductees include:
