The cancer fundraiser is designed to unite the Fredonia and Dunkirk communities to celebrate and encourage cancer patients, and remember those whose lives were lost.

The April 22 event is one of about 6,000 relays across six continents. The organizers are passionate about doing their part to support those affected by cancer through raising funds and awareness for cancer screenings, treatment and programs.

The student ACS group is joined by the ASL Club, Sound Services, and other SUNY Fredonia clubs and supporting local businesses in staging the event.

All are welcome to attend. Organizers hope to reach out to survivors, family, friends, or any people whose lives have been affected by cancer in some way.
