Whitney Riley, '12

I chose Fredonia originally for it's atmosphere, location, and because it offered a major in psychology. I am so happy I chose Fredonia because I fell in love with the psychology program. From the classes, research opportunities, and extracurricular activities available in the psychology program I gained valuable knowledge about the field and received important networking opportunities with not only peers and professors, but other professionals in the field. I was very lucky to be able to present research posters at the APA conference and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality conference, among other research conferences. I have been able to apply a lot of what I learned at Fredonia to my career as a mental health counselor and am very thankful for the opportunities I was given in my undergraduate studies.
