The Residence Life Student Recognition Committee has selected Serena Washburn as one of the Resident Assistants of the Month for April.

Washburn has been an RA for four semesters, serving in Kasling, Chautauqua and Igoe halls, and was nominated by Megan Hanrahan.

About the role of an RA, Serena noted, "My favorite part of being an RA is getting to meet so many people. I get the opportunity to interact and engage with a lot of people. Sometimes I have the opportunity to be trusted with hearing other people’s life stories and it’s always rewarding to know people are willing to come to you. Watching residents feel comfortable in an environment that you help to create is a unique experience that makes this job rewarding."

Washburn is a junior Psychology major with minors in Communication and Visual Arts, and is originally from Penfield.
