In addition to several conference presentations, Dr. Christian Bernhard, a professor of Music Education in the School of Music, completed three peer-reviewed publications during his Spring 2022 research sabbatical.

Investigating Happiness and Gratitude Among Music Majors During a Global Pandemic is a research study published in Volume 47 of Contributions to Music Education.

"Flourishing in Music Education: Lessons from Positive Psychology" is a book just released by Routledge Press. 

"Gratitude During Times of Uncertainty: Connections to Creativities in Music" is an invited chapter in Clint Randles and Pamela Burnard’s forthcoming book, the Routledge Companion to Creativities in Music Education.

Wind Ensemble to feature visiting artist and honor faculty member

The Fredonia Wind Ensemble will present its final concert in April, welcoming composer and Claudette Sorel visiting artist Valerie Coleman and celebrating the legacy of School of Music Professor and Assistant Director Barry Kilpatrick.
