Krista Bellis

After graduating from SUNY Oswego with a BS in Biochemistry I attended graduate school at Oregon State University (OSU). I began as a PhD student in the Biochemsitry and Biophysics Department. I learned through that experience that I was more interested in pursuing a degree in Education. I earned my MS in Science Education from OSU. Since then I have taught in many different settings with a variety of learners. I joined the Fredonia faculty in 2011.

Teaching Interests

I enjoy teaching science in general and most specifically the environmental impacts of chemical compounds and the role of science in creating a more sustainable economy. I focus on making chemistry concepts relevant and comprehensible to students new to the discipline.

Research Interests

I have been working on creating quality online General Chemistry courses to assist students not on the traditional course timeline.
