Student Teaching in Australia

Map of KingaroyFredonia's student teaching program at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) is a 9-week program that allows students to get real classroom experience.  Placements are near the University of the Sunshine Coast in Sippy Downs, Australia and have included elementary, middle school, and music education student teaching.  Students live in Maroochydore, a beach town with shopping, restaurants, and beautiful views.  Students are able to travel throughout Australia (to the Great Barrier Reef, Frasier Island, or Sydney) or to New Zealand in their free time.

Students participating in the program do their first student teaching placement in the spring semester while in Australia, then return to the US to complete their second placement.
