Thinking of volunteering or finding a paid internship?

Students considering interning might look into pursuing a non-credit internship, either for pay or as a volunteer. This can be an especially good way to spend your summer break. Counselors at the CDO can assist you in finding information and locating non-credit internships that meet your goals.

Is academic credit an option?

Students who plan to do an internship or to work at a temporary job sometimes wonder if they can earn academic credit for their experience. In other cases, sometimes a student hopes to do a non-credit internship and is told by the host organization that he or she cannot do the internship unless the university gives academic credit for it. If this happens to you, schedule an appointment with the Internship Coordinator at the CDO for assistance.
