Career Accomplishments/Goals: I am thrilled to be teaching internationally in El Salvador!  I continue to add courses to my repetoire, including Algebra I and Geometry.  As for goals, I would like to become certified in ESL.  I want to continue to improve my Spanish and, eventually, learn other languages and teach in other foreign countries.

Memories of Fredonia: I have so many memories of Fredonia that it's hard to pick just a couple.  Here are several that come to mind:

  • Working on homework in the Fishbowl and Dr. Rogers going off on a tangent about something from Babylonian mathematics while eating his chocolate bread.  Or the time when we had beads from the AMTNYS conference, and Glenn W. wanted to see if he could fit his whole body through a necklace.  It was a tight fit, but I believe he made it!
  • Enjoying international dinners , such as the Korean Dinner.  The many international students I met at Fredonia were a big reason why I wanted to teach internationally.
  • Picnics at Point Gratiot with the Math Department/Club and Chinese Society.
  • AMTNYS and Seaway Section conferences - great times spent with other math folks, learning new things and interesting approaches to teaching!
