Smith to collect second BEA award at regional conference

Roslin Smith, assistant professor of Communication, will receive a second Broadcast Education Association (BEA) award this year at the organization’s Super Regional Conference, to be held Sept. 21-23 at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pa.

“Moods, Mountains and Masterpiece. A Portrait of an Artist: Carolyn Grady,” the second documentary in Ms. Smith’s triptych, is being recognized with BEA’s Award of Excellence in the creative competition section. The film, which portrays Ms. Grady, a Fredonia artist and writer, who formerly taught at Fredonia, will be screened on Friday, Sept. 22.

Smith received a BEA award in March for Best Educational Video along with department colleague Michael Igoe.
