Piorkowski tabbed board president of NYC music education program
SUNY Distinguished Professor James Piorkowski of the School of Music is serving as president of the board of directors of Internal Creations, a New York City-based music education program founded by Jahzeel Montes, a 2012 Fredonia graduate and the organization’s executive director.

President Joseph Biden has announced eight nominees to serve as U.S. Attorneys across the country, including State University of New York at Fredonia alumna Trini E. Ross as the U.S. Attorney nominee for the Western District of New York.
Alumnus to appear with Buffalo Philharmonic
Tenor Kyle van Schoonhoven, a 2011 graduate of the Fredonia School of Music, will perform Gustav Mahler’s song cycle of lost love and despair, “Songs of the Wayfarer,” arranged by Arnold Schoenberg, with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on June 4, 5 and 6.

Rockefeller Arts Center’s green room at the State University of New York at Fredonia after its patron, Kay Hardesty Logan, who was a renowned area philanthropist, musician and arts patron.
