WNY Chamber Orchestra continues Classics Series on Feb. 12

A work arranged by Conductor Glen Cortese will be featured when the Western New York Chamber Orchestra performs on Feb. 12.

The Western New York Chamber Orchestra continues its 2021-22 Classics Series on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in King Concert Hall with the program, "Classics II."

Featured works include John Corigliano’s “Voyage,” Claude Debussy’s "Children's Corner, arranged by WNYCO Artistic Director and Conductor Glen Cortese; and Mozart’s Concerto for Flute and Harp or Concerto for Flute in G major.

The Western New York Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble-in-residence at Fredonia. The musicians in the orchestra bring a range of talent, training, and experience to the concert hall from throughout Western New York and Northwest Pennsylvania. Their educational backgrounds represent virtually every major school of music and conservatory in the country. Many former WNYCO members are now residents of major symphony orchestras throughout the United States.

The concert is a general admission event. Students and children are admitted free, but must have a ticket. Per campus policy, masks are required for all, regardless of vaccination, at all times inside the building.
