Graduate now in general surgery residency to give Zoom talk to students

Kaitlyn Crossan, D.O., a 2015 Fredonia graduate now starting a residency in general surgery at McLaren Health Care in Michigan, will share her medical school experiences on Monday, Oct. 5, on Zoom as a guest in the Alumni Speaker Series hosted by Fredonia’s Health Professions Advising Program.

In the virtual talk, Dr. Crossan will discuss her preparation for medical school while attending Fredonia, the medical school application process and her experiences in medical school and general surgery residency. Crossan is a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a B.S. in Biology and a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie, Pa.

Crossan is the first speaker in the series in the fall semester; additional speakers are planned.

The 7 p.m. session will be informal and students are encouraged to ask questions. It is open to the public and can be accessed online.
