Williams Visiting Professor Lyubov Mincheva

Dr. Lyubov Mincheva from Bulgaria is a visiting scholar in the Department of Politics and International Affairs during the spring semester.

She is teaching international politics classes for the Political Science and International Studies programs.

Professor Mincheva received her Ph.D. in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland at College Park. Her research and teaching concentrate on International Relations with an emphasis on international security and conflict management. Her area of study is Europe, focusing on the Balkans region.

In addition to several articles, Dr. Lyubov Mincheva  authored, with Ted Gurr, “Crime-Terror Alliances and the State,” published by Rutledge. Professor Mincheva has significant international experience in addition to teaching and research assignments in the United States.

Dr. Mincheva’s visit is supported through the Williams Visiting Professor Fund of the Fredonia College Foundation.
