With 22 years of musical experience, numerous nationwide tours, nine albums, a loyal following in the Western New York rock/indie scene and a record label of her own, Alison Pipitone is a force to be reckoned with. The singer-songwriter specializes in alternative music, rising to popularity with the introduction of the grunge scene in the 1990s.
Pipitone has been compared to Sheryl Crow and Chrissy Hynde, possessing the same female empowerment through her alternative music. She has shared the stage with big names such as Joan Jett, Sloan, The Barenaked Ladies and Willie Nile to name a few. She was also featured on an album Tunes For Food: Redemption Day, an album aimed to raise money for food banks in Buffalo, Cleveland and Long Island. The album included Pipitone and artists such as Heart, Yoko Ono, Jackson Browne, Little Steven and many more.
Pipitone has received 17 awards over her career, including Top Female Vocalist (ten times), Top Original Band (three times) and a lifetime achievement award awarded by Artvoice, Nightlife Magazine, WBNY Music Awards and Buffalo Music Awards.
