The Castleman Quartet Program is a unique 7-week summer program for intensive study and performance of chamber music and solo repertory.
Analytic Techniques – Online Course
June 12 – July 27, 2017
The application of analytical methods, including Schenkerian reductive analysis, to Western tonal music since the latter 17th century. Includes the study of musical forms in Western music and entails a significant prose writing component. Enroll for graduate credit.
Fredonia Summer Music Festival

Open to high school music students (grades 9 - 12), the Fredonia Summer Music Festival continues its tradition of excellence into its 27th summer. The original Band program continues to present opportunities for students to work in large ensembles, chamber ensembles, lessons and recreation time. Honors Solo Vocal program for students interested in further developing their skills as a solo classical vocalist. Now for the first time, Fredonia will offer the Strings program for high school string instrumentalists. Students in all camps will attend daily musicianship classes, participate in master classes, attend special evening performances, and have time for individual practice and recreation. Together, the camps offer students outstanding quality and exceptional value.
Wind Conducting Symposium
June 26 – 29, 2017
The Fredonia Wind Conducting Symposium welcomes conductors of all levels explore score study, conducting techniques, repertoire options and selection criteria, rehearsal techniques, and ensemble techniques. Enroll for graduate credit, for CEUs as a conductor/participant, or for CEUs as an observer.
