ABOUT FREDONIA HARP DAY
Come to Fredonia for an exciting day of harp friendship! This no-stress, informal event is open to harpists of any age and any level. Bring your harp and join us for a day filled with harp ensemble, camaraderie, and a recital by American Harp Society National Competition winner Natalie Severson, made possible by the Winners Outreach program of the American Harp Society.
Co-hosted by Fredonia harp professor, Sonja Inglefield, and Buffalo Suzuki Strings harp instructor, Kela Walton, all events will take place at the Fredonia School of Music. Mason Hall is a harp-friendly building with plenty of handicap access. There will be several harpists available to help with moving and tuning. Music stands and chairs are provided. If you prefer to use a bench, please bring one along with your harp, music, and a tuning key.
After registration, you will receive an email with the repertoire list – a collection of fun harp ensemble dances including the ever popular “Triptic Dance” and the rousing “Polka in C!” Learn as many or as few of the pieces as you like. Choose whichever ensemble part you find most comfortable. Play both hands or only one hand – no pressure!
