The SUNY Fredonia Veteran Affairs Office welcomes all active duty service members, reservists, National Guard, veterans of any branch, military affiliated students, and dependents. We strive to assist with the transition from military to academic life.
Veterans Affairs Student Application Checklist
- Apply for Admission.
- Apply for VA Benefits.
- New Students Complete:
- Transfer Students Complete:
- Submit DD214, Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE), Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
- Request a copy of your DD214 military service record.
- Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE) VA Form DD-2384-1 is used to determine eligibility to receive the Montgomery GI Bill® Educational Assistance Benefits (MGIB). Members must obtain their NOBE from their service unit of assignment.
- Certificate of Eligibility (COE) is sent to service personnel after confirming eligibility with the NOBE.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Fill out a SUNY Fredonia Veterans Fact Sheet to certify your enrollment to receive VA benefits.
- Transfer students must transfer their VA Education Benefits to SUNY Fredonia.
- Supply degree plan, for students receiving VA Tutorial Assistance.
- Visit the Veteran Financial Aid Information web page to use cost calculators and other resources.
- Visit the Student Accounts Office website.
- Contact Residence Life Office (if applicable) or call 716-673-3341
- Visit Disability Support Services for Accommodations (if applicable). For an appointment, call 716-673-3270.
- Complete the E-Services Critical Checklist to access your campus email, use WiFi, YourConnection, etc.
- Make an appointment with the Chautauqua County Veterans Services Agency (Veterans Only) or call 716-268-6030 to find out all your benefits.
