The Inauguration of Virginia Schaefer Horvath Community Information

All members of the larger community are cordially invited to President Horvath's Investiture Ceremony on September 21 as well as all other Inauguration Week events. Please see the Schedule of Events for more details. Although there is no charge for the Investiture Ceremony, tickets are required. They can be ordered through the Ticket Office at 716-673-3501. They can also be reserved online from the RSVP page.

For those with permits, handicapped parking will be available on the day of the ceremony on Symphony Circle. The campus Park and Ride shuttle bus will also be operating. See the Investiture Day Parking Map for more details.

For those unable to attend the Investiture Ceremony in person, we are planning to televise the investiture ceremony on the local cable TV systems in Fredonia (Channel 17) and Dunkirk (Channel 19).

INAUGURAL DAY OF SERVICE:

As noted on the inaugural home page, Saturday, September 22 will be an Inaugural Day of Service. Students, faculty, and staff will be working on critical projects with a variety of area non-profit agencies. If you work with or for an agency that would like extra help on this day with a special project, please contact us at inauguration@fredonia.edu with "Day of Service" in the subject line.
